About Me

Hi, I’m Joe Abraham — public health professional, traveller, occasional writer, amateur photographer, and curious observer of the everyday.

By day, I work in the field of community medicine and public health, where I research, teach, and contribute to improving health literacy and communication. I’ve founded initiatives like the Pushpagiri Center for Health Communication and host the Scientia Public Health Podcast. My work often revolves around bridging the gap between science and society.

By heart, I’m a storyteller — someone who finds joy in reflecting on a great film, discovering a quiet corner of the world, or sharing thoughts that linger long after a conversation or book ends. This website is a space where all those parts of me come together.

Here, you’ll find:

  • Blog posts on the books I read, films and series I enjoy, and reflections from daily life.

  • Travel stories and photo essays from places I’ve been fortunate to explore.

  • Public health articles and projects I’ve been part of — both personal and professional.

  • Occasional Malayalam writing, because some thoughts flow best in the language of home.

  • A link to my newsletter, where I share curated recommendations — a song, a short film, an idea worth thinking about.

This site is a growing archive of things I care about, told simply and honestly.

Thanks for being here.
